OUR AIRPLANE
While the squadron was operating out of India,
it flew the C and D models of the B-25 in its
combat missions into Burma.
When the squadron moved to China, it was
epuipped with the B-25 H model, which
had a 75 mm cannon in its nose...
...and also with the new J models,
which did not have the cannon but
was more heavily armored with
forward firing 50 calibres and with
a tail gunner position.
Whichever model was flown,
the squadron took plenty of
enemy ground fire.
